To find inspiration for assignment 10 I used two pages from the Chicago Sun-Times (front page and another page) and the front page of a San Diego Union-Tribune. What I took from the Chicago Sun-Times pages was a use of fairly vibrant colours, use of ledger lines, use of shaded boxes for section titles. I also really liked the way the page numbers and date were laid out on the pages. In the Union-Tribune I initially looked at how they divided up articles and did headlines. in the end, however my design is much more reminiscent of the Chicago Sun-Times.
