For this assignment I chose to work with Myriad, one of my favourite fonts. A little research told me that Myriad is a humanist sans serif font developed for Adobe in the early 1990s. Humanist sans serifs are characterized by soft organic curves and a clean look that make them quite appealing and non-threatening. I tried to incorporate humanist and organic ideas into the composition of my poster, making use of classic humanist and organic images (i.e. Vitruvian Man, a flower, a person's eye) and trying to find a balance between formality and playfulness through the contrast of rectangular and curvilinear forms.
